A cookie is a small text file placed on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet) when you visit a website. It allows the site to remember certain information about your visit, in order to facilitate your navigation and offer suitable services.

Similar technologies (invisible pixels, local storage, web beacons, browser fingerprints) are treated as cookies in this policy.

2. Cookies we use

2.1 Strictly necessary cookies (no consent)

These cookies are essential for the operation of the Site. They do not require your consent because they are necessary to provide the services you have explicitly requested (browsing, cart, payment, security).

In particular:

  • WPML cookies (storage of display language: FR / EN / DE)
  • Cloudflare security cookies (bot and attack protection)
  • Cookie storing your cookie-consent choice (Complianz)
  • Easy Login customer-login cookies

2.2 Analytics and performance cookies (with consent)

These cookies help us understand how visitors use the Site (pages visited, time on site, bounce rate) so that we can improve our offering. Data are collected on a pseudonymised basis with IP anonymisation (anonymize_ip = true).

Concerned:

  • Google Analytics 4 deployed via Google Tag Manager (container GTM-KBGZDDJV)
  • Cookies _ga, _ga_<container_id>, _gid

2.3 Targeting and advertising cookies (with consent)

These cookies are used to measure the effectiveness of any advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Meta Ads) and to limit the number of times you see an advertisement.

Potentially concerned depending on GTM configuration:

  • Google Ads: IDE, DSID, _gcl_* (Google conversion linker)
  • Meta Pixel (Facebook): _fbp, fr (if enabled via GTM)

If Google Ads or Meta Pixel are not enabled in container GTM-KBGZDDJV, these cookies will not be deposited.

Recommended maximum duration: 13 months for analytics and advertising cookies (CNIL and CNPD recommendation).

On your first visit to ekomfort.lu, a consent banner is presented. You can:

  • Accept all: enable all cookies (necessary + analytics + advertising)
  • Reject all: enable only strictly necessary cookies
  • Customise: choose category by category which cookies you accept

The consent banner is managed by the Complianz GDPR module and respects the recommendations of the CNPD (Luxembourg) and the CNIL (France).

5.2 Modify your preferences at any time

You can modify your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the “Manage cookies” link located in the footer of every page on the Site.

5.3 Through your browser settings

You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings:

  • Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage website data
  • Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions

Caution: disabling certain cookies via your browser may affect the operation of the Site (loss of your cart, automatic logout).

In accordance with the GDPR (Art. 7) and the ePrivacy directive, you can withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.

To do this:

  1. Click on “Manage cookies” in the footer of ekomfort.lu
  2. Disable the desired cookie categories
  3. Save your preferences

Withdrawing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

7. Consequences of refusing cookies

Refusing non-essential cookies does not affect your access to ekomfort.lu or your ability to make purchases. Only the following functions may be affected:

  • Analytics cookies: no impact for you (we simply lose the ability to improve the Site based on aggregated statistics)
  • Advertising cookies: any external ads displayed (Google Ads, Meta) will not be personalised based on your interests

You will never be penalised for refusing non-essential cookies. In accordance with CNIL/CNPD recommendations, ekomfort does not use a “cookie wall” conditioning Site access on acceptance of all cookies.
