Which countries does ekomfort deliver to, and how long does it take?
ekomfort delivers to Luxembourg, mainland France, Belgium and Germany, in 2 to 8 working days depending on the shipping method. Below €90 the order ships standard, in 5 to 8 working days; from €90 it ships express, in 2 to 3 working days. Orders placed after 2 p.m. take one additional working day. Overseas French territories and other countries are not served at this time.
What is the free delivery threshold?
Delivery is free from €150, shipped express. Below that it costs €7.90 up to €90, and €6.95 between €90 and €149.99. Rates are identical across the four countries served, and parcel tracking is included whatever the order value.
How long do I have to return an item?
You have 30 days to return an item, with no need to justify your decision. This commercial window includes the 14-day statutory right of withdrawal set out in EU directive 2011/83/EU. The product must be sent back within 14 days of notifying us, and the refund is issued no later than 14 days after we are informed of your decision.
Are returns free?
Returns are free from €90. Below that amount, return postage is at your expense, as permitted by the EU directive provided you were informed before ordering. If an item reaches you damaged or not as described, we cover the return whatever the order value.
How do I choose my size at ekomfort?
Take your usual size for shoes, and measure yourself for clothing: the size guide sets out the four measurements that matter — chest, waist, hips and foot length. Measure your foot at the end of the day, standing, heel against a wall: it swells slightly over the hours, and that is the measurement that counts. For strappy sandals, factor in your instep rather than length alone.
What are ekomfort's vegan shoes made of?
The models in the selection use six materials of no animal origin: microfibre, AppleSkin, Piñatex, organic cotton, lyocell and recycled PET, with cork on a few pieces. AppleSkin is made from residues of the apple juice industry, Piñatex from pineapple leaf fibres; recycled PET comes from plastic bottles and forms the textile panels of the trainers; lyocell is drawn from wood pulp in a closed-loop process. No leather, no wool, no silk.
Are vegan shoes durable?
Yes, provided you judge the construction rather than the vegan label. In this selection, high-density microfibre, recycled PET, Piñatex and AppleSkin stand up to daily city wear; none, however, behaves quite like leather, which develops a patina and can be repaired. Durability owes less to the material than to the build: how the seams hold, the bonding, and how the sole is attached. Every product page states the material and the certifications that item holds, which is enough to compare before buying.
How do I care for vegan shoes?
A damp cloth is enough: vegan materials are not cared for like leather. Conditioning products and coloured polishes have no purchase on microfibre or AppleSkin, which are not porous; polish can even leave surface marks without penetrating the material. Let them air-dry, away from direct heat. Textile pieces — socks, tops — wash at 30 °C and dry flat, as the tumble dryer noticeably shortens the life of the knit.
Which payment methods are accepted?
ekomfort accepts Visa, Mastercard and American Express, as well as Bancontact, Klarna and SEPA direct debit. Payments are handled by Stripe: your card details never pass through our servers and are never stored by ekomfort. Prices are shown in euros, all taxes included.
Are the products certified?
Four certifications appear across the selection: PETA, GOTS, GRS and OEKO-TEX, each covering part of the catalogue rather than all of it. PETA attests the absence of animal materials and animal testing; GOTS audits organic fibre and social criteria, from field to seam; GRS verifies actual recycled content and its traceability; OEKO-TEX tests the finished product for harmful substances.
